A piece of land bought on installment by the husband before his marriage to his wife but was fully paid with the title transferred in his name after their marriage is a conjugal property of the spouses, the Supreme Court (SC) has ruled.

CA denies petition on property

The Court of Appeals has denied the petition of the Manila City government to stop a Manila court from implementing a writ of execution ordering them to pay a lot owner the remaining balance for a private property expropriated in 1997 for public use unless the owner surrenders the duplicate titles of the property.

GOVERNMENT counsels have asked the Supreme Court to junk the petition seeking to stop the implementation of a proposed C-5 road extension project that will link the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).
